Role Playing 角色扮演

I know this picture looks kind of weird, but it reminds me of when Bella was pregnant >.<

Today in Public Speaking class, we were role playing. We prepared this since last Thursday and honestly, 其实我很担心，因为其实我不喜欢我的搭档。>.< 他是越南人，而且是我目前听过讲英文越南腔最重的一个人。所以，他说话的时候，基本上我不太懂他在说什么。在那一个小时的准备，我们没什么进展。我是要扮演一个妈妈，而他是我女儿的男朋友。Fortunately, the role playing today went well and I was relieved. ^^ Here is the script: (mostly written by me but there are some parts written by him, so don't feel awkward when you find mistakes >.<)

(Doorbell rings, Mother goes open the door.)

Mother: Good evening. May I help you?

Bf: Good evening, Mrs. Tan. I’m Steve, Alice’s boyfriend. Is Alice in?

Mother: (surprised) Alice is upstairs changing her clothes. Come in and have a seat.

Bf: Thank you, madame.

(Walk towards living room and sit down facing each other.)

Mother: So…Steve. I heard a lot about you from Alice. Now, I finally have a chance to meet you. Do you mind if I ask you some questions while you are waiting for Alice? I wanna know more about you.

Bf: Sure, sure. You can ask me anything, Mrs. Tan.

Mother: I was hoping that you would say that. Steve, how old are you?

Bf: I’m 18, same age as Alice.

Mother: (nodding) Do you plan to go to any university, Steve?

Bf: Nah…universities are for nerds. I’m not a nerd and I don’t want to be one either.

Mother: (raise an eyebrow) Really? Then what do you intend to do?

Bf: Well, I’ll continue my family’s business, of course!

Mother: Family’s business? What is your family’s business?

Bf: I’m glad that you asked that. My dad sells noodles! Our noodle stall is just across the street from the school and our noodles are extremely de~licious(emphasize)! A lot of students go to our noodle stall to eat after school. You should come and try, Mrs. Tan. Alice loves the noodles too, I’m sure you’ll love them.

Mother: (awkward) Ha ha, sure. I’ll go when I’m free. Steve, I’m curious about one thing, though, why do you think that Alice fell in love with you?

Bf: I guess it’s because I just look so hot and sexy. (grins) I know everyone just loves me.

Mother: You are very confident with your looks. So what do you like about my daughter, Steve? I know that Alice is the most beautiful lady in the world, but I’m sure that there is something else about Alice that made you feel attracted to her.

Bf: Of course! You are right, Mrs. Tan. Alice is absolutely hot and sexy, which the same like me! She’s hot and sexy and I’m hot and sexy too! The best thing about being with Alice is I feel sooo good when I’m with her. People stare at us with admiration and I’m just so fond of it!

Mother: (frowning) You like my daughter because she’s hot and sexy? What about her personality, Steve? Doesn’t one’s personality should be more important than looks?

Bf: Personality? Honestly, I don’t care so much about personality. As long as Alice stays hot and sexy, I will be her boyfriend.

Mother: (wide eyes) Gosh! Steve, tell me, do you ever want to have sex with my daughter?

Bf: Hell, yes! She’s so hot and sexy; of course I want to have sex with her! Who doesn’t?

Mother: (shaking head) I know that it’s rude to say this to you, Steve, but I have to say this to you. Honestly, Steve, I think that you are not suitable for my daughter. Here, take this money, Steve, and stay away from my daughter forever. I hope you understand what I want.

Bf: Are you serious? All I have to do to take this money is leave Alice alone? Of course I understand what you meant, Mrs. Tan! But this is so rude that I have to break up with her on Valentine’s Day, you know. (Counting money) Well, hey, what the hell is that 250USD. That’s a lot you know. Sure, I’ll do it! Thanks you for the money, Mrs. Tan, I can go downtown and buy new clothes. Cool! It’s my pleasure to meet you today, Mrs. Tan! Goodbye!

Mother: Good Bye, (slam the door) and don’t ever come back again to bother me!
